2018-19 SEASON: MUSIC MOVES THE SOUL

Join us for our 2018-19 Season, featuring violinist Karen Gomyo playing the Shostakovich Violin Concerto No. 1, Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition, an all-Beethoven concert with Wideman Piano Competition Winner Mei Li, pianist Simone Dinnerstein performing a new piano concerto by Philip Glass co-commissioned by the SSO, Jennifer Higdon's new concerto for low brass featuring SSO musicians, Elgar's Enigma Variations, Broadway stars Brian Stokes Mitchell and Ashley Brown, a sci-fi themed concert spectacular, a monumental semi-staged performance of Bach's St. Matthew Passion with choirs, and more!
