Welcome 22-year-old William Hagen (third prize winner of the 2015 Queen Elisabeth International Music Competitionthe highest ranking American since 1980) to the stage for the sublime violin concerto by Mendelssohn. The concert opens with a unique work by Haydn featuring SSO principal musicians and includes Beethoven’s sunny Symphony No. 8.
