ROSSINI Overture to L’Italiana in Algieri
BEETHOVEN Piano Concerto No. 3
MENDELSSOHN Symphony No. 4, “Italian”

Italian music influences and the energy of youth abound! Mendelssohn was a young man when he visited Italy and fell in love with the culture, inspiring his “Italian” symphony. And Rossini was only 21 when he wrote the charming L’Italiana in Algieri. Emerging star and Wideman International Piano Competition Gold Medalist Simon Karakulidi will bring Beethoven’s muscular Piano Concerto No. 3 to life.
