Planned Giving – The Shenaut Society

Be a part of the Shreveport Symphony’s future!

THE SHENAUT SOCIETY is a group of individuals who have expressed their charitable intentions to the Shreveport Symphony through planned giving.

As the orchestra looks to the future, we ask you to do the same. Please consider including the SSO in your planned giving and become a member of the Shenaut Society.

Planned giving upholds your support for generations to come. Your gift will help establish long-term sustainability allowing the orchestra to serve the community’s growth and ensure organizational prosperity.

Maestro John Shenaut was the SSO’s founding Music Director. He conducted the first concert in 1948 and continued on to lead the orchestra for an astonishing 33 years. He built the organization from scratch, with the help of many community supporters, into a well-respected orchestra that is still enjoyed today.

The SSO Foundation, established in 1990, is a separately incorporated non-profit whose exclusive purpose is to strengthen the financial support of the Shreveport Symphony, Inc. It is governed by a Board of Directors and actively managed by an outside professional investment company. The role of the Foundation is to accept and develop investments, endowment funds and planned giving opportunities as designated by the donor.
